Dowsby

Today we learn of the sad death of John Henry Cannell of Dowsby who died today serving his country with the 1st Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry. Our condolences to Hannah, his wife and their baby girl Norah on their loss.

John worked in the village as chauffeur to Alderman Dean at Dowsby Hall and he will be sadly missed by all in the village, his sacrifice will not be forgotten.
